What is coworking?

Coworking is a new trend. It started a while ago and is basically a bunch of people who cowork from the same location. Originally, people would work at cafes, in someone's office or home, or perhaps during the day at a restaurant. However, recently, there has been an amazing emergence of coworking spaces dedicated to the idea of coworking. Personally, I feel that quite often office-shares are presented as coworking, but who am I to question semantics...
